Wedding at the Vijverkafee Diepenbeek
Daan and Eva got married last weekend. At the Vijverkafee in Diepenbeek. A real gem. The concept is quite simple: a pond, a café and hoppa: wedding location. Although… it was also very beautiful because of all the styling that Daan, Eva and a lot of friends and family had arranged. A location where you have parties, festivals, where you have delicious beers, but also cava. Where you can take a stroll around the pond, see 1000 cranes and have a Hugo in between. In short: a unique place.
The morning began at our two locations. While Eva started at her mom’s, Daan was his parents. They had thought that the first look was a moment they wanted to be aware of. So first look, with red rose and Kinder Bueno and then lunch. Daan and Eva together in a super cool tipi tent. In the tipitent were as a surprise all kinds of messages about the bride and groom. How romantic! And a total of 1,000 of these folded cranes… wow!
Daan was ready with red rose and Kinder Bueno, a direct reference to their first date : )
A short lunch, with delicious sandwiches made by a friend of Daan and personal messages everywhere. Could it be more romantic?
That styling…. really completely Instagram-worthy! Everywhere cranes, nice bright colours and ivy. A lot of credits to Eva and her Chiro-team.
All the flower arrangements were done by Eva’s mom and one of her best friends. Instant colour everywhere!
A personal loyalty
After arriving at the location, the ceremony started pretty quickly. The bride and groom were accompanied by the oldest (grandfather) and youngest (niece Ellis) guest. There was also a beautiful moment when the 6 witnesses told something about Daan and Eva. Eva’s uncle was the person who tied everything together. He was also the one who served all the speakers their favorite shot. After all, we are in Belgium; the country where people party a lot ;)
Eva was “given away” by her grandfather!
During the wedding ceremony all the guests were allowed to hold the rings.
Festival atmosphere
After the ceremony there was time for congratulations, drinks and soon after that dinner. A delicious barbecue was served. Guests could choose what they wanted and not only ice cream, but also a complete Sweet Table was served. With macaroons from Dean’s cousin.
And as expected: the party started off well. Not only was there a first dance, the guests joined in right away. A perfect moment to stay for a while and then say goodbye to this lovely couple ;)
The Vijverkafee Diepenbeek is not only a beautiful place (even without styling), but they also have great food! That could also be because Belgium is a bit more Burgundian than “we Dutch”, but we were very impressed!
Especially for Daan, delicious special beers and for Eva not only an ice cream buffet, but also a sweet table with several desserts!
Look at them happy ; )
Party in the evening
Slowly it got later and later. It was wonderful to see an overview from the other side of the pond.
The party moved to a nearby room and the party went on.
