Getting married at Scheltema in Leiden. And also starting the day in Leiden, just like the photo shoot…. Hanna and Albe, as you can see, have a lot going on with this beautiful city. And their day was also very colorful.
Preparations at home
The preparations took place in their own homes. And what is perhaps even more unique: they both did their preparations here. And why not, because you feel at home and you can easily work around each other :)
The pick-up time is always a thing. Want to see each other in the living room? In a nice place somewhere else? Or just at the front door? This bride and groom decided to just see each other at their own front door. Extra convenient, because Albe first went to pick up the bouquet at the florist and then picked up his bride.
After this, the photo shoot began. Again in Leiden of course. Between their home and the wedding venue, Scheltema, Ramon took photos in several beautiful spots. They visited the canals of Leiden and walked along familiar streets. And not much later they arrived at Scheltema.
Here they were welcomed with leaf confetti. What a colorful and cheerful arrival this way!
The wedding ceremony was a true resting point during the day. Personalized wedding vows, beautiful words from others and lots of emotion. Nice to see it that way!
There was also a handfasting ceremony with many colored ribbons. This bride and groom are now truly connected.
Dining at Scheltema
After a drink moment in the afternoon, it was time to get to dinner. The dinner took place in the super-light Ketelhuis. You could almost call it a greenhouse. But how much atmosphere does this give? Wow!
There were several speeches and dinner ended with a very delicious cake. And after this, it was time for the party. How cool that Hanne was wearing a wedding jumpsuit! Ideal for dancing in, I think, and super cute as a contrast to the wedding dress from earlier, that day.
