Weddings at Restaurant Viersprong
The area around ‘s Gravenzande is secretly quite special to us. Ramon asked me to marry him there in 2012, and we are now about 10 years on. So extra fun that we got to join Tessa and Dave at this lovely wedding venue!
The morning began for us, as it often does, in two different locations. Dave was in their own house, with his father, while Tessa was in her father’s house. Their two beautiful daughters were with Dave at first, but went to get ready with Mom.
So wonderful how children can still be completely absorbed in a cell phone with movies. Just very briefly put everything on pause and watch movies.
First look in the backyard
Dave was already ready, with his back to the door, first welcoming his beautiful daughters. When they had had their moment with Daddy, it was time to see Tessa. What a picture! And also lucky with the weather ; )
Photo shoot in the dunes of Hoek van Holland
Not far from Tessa and Dave’s house, we took some photos in the dunes, not far from Viersprong and the other locations. First some with the girls there, but after 15 minutes they went home already. We stayed behind at this spot for a while to take pictures with the bride and groom. In pairs, of course, it’s just a little quieter : )
Arrival in ‘s Gravenzande
The arrival, at Viersprong in ‘s Gravenzande, was also spectacular! The cargo bike was completely filled for the moment. All the guests were ready to welcome the bride and groom. Then everyone walked toward the ceremony site where they could be married outside.
After the giveaway moment, the ceremony actually began. And quite a surprise for many guests, as none other than Dirk Zeelenberg (known from Divorce, among others) was the wedding officiant! Super fun to see how this wedding ceremony went!
Weddings in the Viersprong ‘s Gravenzande
The guests enjoyed a ceremony with lots of laughter and great stories. After saying yes, the time had finally come: this couple was married!
The ceremony was over and with this extra kiss, you knew it was going to be a good day.
Dave got to saber a bottle of champagne himself! Afterwards, everyone received a fine glass of bubbly.
We worked with Sket from One Life Film on this day. I don’t know any videographer who knows how to combine creative ideas and atmosphere so well. He saw this bouncy castle and gathered not all the children (as you might expect), but rather the bride and her friends. Hoppa, all in! Instant atmosphere. And he had more moments like that. Extra fun as a photographer to then secretly capture moments like these.
The drinks slowly but surely transitioned into dinner. Since it had cooled down outside by now, they decided to have a nice dinner inside. The party could grab food and pick their own spot to sit. This also got you that people started walking around a bit and chatting with several people.
The party, and especially the bride and groom and Tessa’s father, enjoyed the same-day edit created by One Life. After this, the music went on rock hard and it was time for a nice party. Super fun to have been a part of this!
Well, problem of course. During the wedding there was also an important contest. The groom indicated that no big screen would be arranged, but sneaking a moment to look at cell phones was totally okay. Or rather. it was tolerated ; )
