When you get married in the Netherlands the weather is always a bit of a gamble. Especially when you decide to say yes in the fall. This couple was very lucky. They chose October and had a summer day! Annemieke asked me what they should do, regarding the ceremony setting and I’m so glad she decided to get married outside! Best light of the year.
Preparations of the bride and groom
Most of the times we see the bride and groom in two separate locations. Annemieke, for example, started at her parents house and Bart-Jan did his preparations in their own home. We had a lot of time to take pictures which is nice when you want to capture special moments.
Annemieke’s mum asked her favorite florist to decorate her home. We loved the colors and flowers!
First look in the back yard
When Bart-Jan was finished with his preparations, he and his brother went over to Annemiekes parents. She couldn’t resist having a sneak peek to see which color he would wear that day.
When they finally saw each other they had a small lunch, enjoyed some smoothies and macarons and jumped into the car. Time to start the official part of the day!
Outside ceremony near Kasteelhoeve Geldrop
We just love this ceremony setting. It’s near the old castle and underneath a very old tree. Almost like a fairytale ;)
Annemieke made sure that there were many flowers at the ceremony as well ; )
Fotoshoot in garden near the castle
We had a very short photoshoot. Maybe 20 minutes, but we love how it turned out. The couple was relaxed, we had a few pretty shots and it was overall nice to enjoy the garden.
Dinner, family style
The couple and their guests had a lovely dinner. With food on big planks. The dinner was set up family style so everyone shared. We loved the speeches that were held during dinner!
