New date for the wedding
That getting married, in the middle of times of Corona, is possible showed this couple. For how many times they had to plan their wedding; so in the end it worked out at Landgoed Staverden! We really felt sorry for Hermine & Walter.
It started with plans for April, that was changed to a wedding in May, the date was moved again and finally it became early June. But: it worked! And in such a loving, joyful, way that it makes you happy. Right?
Getting married is just getting married
What strikes us every time is that a wedding is now also “just” a wedding. Covid-19 or not. Yes you have to stay apart, yes you have to wash your hands often and maybe even wear a mouth mask sometimes (although on this day that was not necessary). However you look at it, the feeling was no less. Perhaps the feeling was even more intense! For it had finally succeeded.
Picking up the bride, the preparations, the photo shoot. Piece by piece parts that were full of emotion and little moments. The excitement, the release, the joy. Awesome!
Photoshoot in Kampen
This couple is from Genemuiden and Kampen, so Kampen was a perfect location for the first part of the photo shoot. We were able to go into the church. A beautiful location to begin the photo shoot.
Get married at Staverden estate
Then it was time for photos at Landgoed Staverden. A beautiful setting with some stately buildings. There is also a fine orangery here.
And then that lovely Rhododendron hedge. Purple flowers everywhere!
The bride and groom had arranged bubble blowers for their guests, as well as Hand Sanitizer (We Love Your Health!).
Normally you often see all the guests sit down and then the bride and groom came walking up, but now this was exactly reversed. Hermine and Walter led the way and at an appropriate distance came the rest of the guests. Logistically a perfect solution! And then the bride did fill up for a moment…. because congratulating and hugging each other is difficult now. And so was she.
Toast and raise a glass to each other. A celebratory moment!
A great solution for the congratulatory moment! Handing each other a flower, instead of a hug. I thought it was a beautiful symbol.
Then cake and speeches. Ramon photographed this wedding and stayed until the party went home. Another one-and-a-half-meter reception followed in the evening and he came back an hour for that. All in all, a very beautiful and integer wedding.
