A May wedding at Fletcher De Kalkovens in Huizen. Ramon had been to this wedding venue once years back, but we had never been there as a wedding photography duo. And what a wedding this became!
Anna-Marie and Richard decided to celebrate life by finally getting married after many years together. Their motto: “One life, one love.” Wonderful!
Preparing in your own home
They did the preparations in their home. Their daughter and son also attended, and they had already invited a number of friends and family members to raise a glass with them. The party could begin!
The wedding ceremony eventually took place at The Kalkovens in Huizen. A beautiful historic location in the harbor of Huizen. The arrival next was also spectacular. The arrival was by means of a mega exclusive yacht.
Guests were already waiting for their arrival. Right after this, the wedding ceremony at the Kalkovens in Huizen could really begin!
I think it is so beautiful to see how this wonderful couple has been together for years and is still truly in love with each other. And then to be able to celebrate that with your own children,…what a beautiful thing!
We did a short photo shoot with the bride and groom and with the guests present, after which everyone enjoyed another fine drink followed by a walking dinner.
Anna-Marie had arranged for Jessie Fish’s act for the early evening. Two women joined in the dancing and asked guests to move from the drinks area toward the ballroom. Because this is where the real party was going to take place. A colorful and creative way to move guests from A to B, instant festival atmosphere like that!
Anna-Marie had put one big surprise in the playbook. Richard is not at all into surprises, but allowed it, because yes…. Anna-Marie he… Her surprise was that Wesly Bronkhorst came to sing his song “Proud of You” live. And of course he sang a few additional songs, but this one reflected exactly what the bride wanted to tell her groom. Goosebumps!
All in all, a delightful party. DJ with live performance, live musician there, Oyster girls walked around handing out oysters, great music, glitter everywhere. What a celebration… One of those days when you sit in the car afterwards and drive home full of adrenaline, wonderful!
