So this is a wedding where Australia meets The Netherlands. Dave, Australian by birth, met Annemarie (or Anna) a few years ago. Fast forward to now: they got married! In the Netherlands. And if I’m not mistaken, they will have a party in Australia as well.
A big fat Dutch Wedding
This was such a lovely day. They got married outside, had a lovely dinner, loads of laughter with friends and family and a bit of rain to complete things. Anna and Dave’s day was in full festival setting: with a ceremony, dinner, and party outside.
Preparations at a hotel
The wedding couple decided to do their preparations in a hotel. This was extra nice because they could have their guests close to them. While Anna was having her make-up done, her parents, sister-in-law, and sister came popped by. And Dave had his best man around him.
So best friend Carmen helped her during the “is everything ready to go?”-moment. Her niece Grace was present as well.
The first look took place at the Oud Zandbergen estate. Anna stepped out of the Chrysler New Yorker, owned by her friend Carmen. Dave was waiting until he could see his lovely bride.
When it was ceremony time, it started to rain! It was great to see that no one was in panic. People grabbed some umbrellas and voila :)
A festival wedding
So after the wedding ceremony ended, the guests walked towards the festival location. They used this tiny path, amongst the trees. I loved all the pine trees around the field, the lampions, and the bunting. Such a lovely place. This was going to be a great afternoon.
Dave and Anna both play volleyball, Dave even as a professional. So this wouldn’t be a proper party without a volleyball and a rugby ball. People could grab their dinner at the food truck. You could eat as much as you liked! And dessert? Well… ice cream!
