Preparations at Het Roode Koper
We already knew Lisanne and Kyang a bit, as we got to capture their beautiful family a few weeks back. Mats, the oldest, was already at the location with the nanny. He had on a super cute outfit, the same one Hidde would later wear. And Lisanne and Kyang, meanwhile, were busy with their own preparations. Lisanne in the Manage House, while Kyang stayed in the main building.
I was able to capture with Lisanne how she experienced her morning: calm and actually completely relaxed. I secretly expected otherwise myself, as one shower after another passed by, but she had her witnesses and a friend with her and so it was a successful morning anyway.
Ramon went looking for Kyang and photographed everything that happened “on this side.”
Rain, rain and more rain on your wedding day
The first look, thanks to the weather of course, took place inside the salon. Lisanne arrived in a golf cart and was escorted inside with several umbrellas. But again, the weather couldn’t hurt, because whether you’re outside or inside, the effect is the same. Bride, groom, both ready for the day and at that moment only eyes for each other. So wonderful to see!
Wedding ceremony in the restaurant of Het Roode Koper
After lunch, Lisanne retreated to 1 of the guests’ rooms for a while. In the meantime, Kyang received the guests, and after a while their youngest son was also awakened so that he could be at the ceremony well-rested. Guusta Veldman, made it a beautiful ceremony.
A ceremony where once again there was room to laugh, to cry and to get a glimpse into the lives of Lisanne and Kyang. Two hardworking people who found each other and now the four of them form a close-knit family. In doing so, they have remained themselves AND strengthened each other, wonderful to hear.
Enjoying drinks outside
Most of the afternoon took place on the terrace. There was room for drinks, for a delicious piece of cake and before we knew it we started the group photos and then dinner. So the day actually flew by, which is always a good sign I think. The party went, Michelin – dining at The Poolhouse, a beautiful part of Het Roode Koper. And slowly the afternoon turned into the evening.
A party with “A Touch Of Gold”
After dinner, people walked through the garden toward the main building. Lisanne’s year group had devised a “hat on hat off” moment so that the group could show who had the most knowledge about the bride and groom. The bridal bouquet was also thrown. And not much later: party time! The wedding card said “a touch of gold” as a hint for the evening, and even the bride and groom completely went along with this! Groom with hat and glitter here and there and bride with beautiful golden skirt.
This was another wonderful day to witness. With sweet people who care very much about their guests, with lots of enjoying wine and delicious food and, above all, lots of beautiful moments.
