I can write this very exciting intro and hope you read the entire post to find out if she said yes, but whether she said yes or not: the title should say enough, right? Maarten decided to ask for Cheryl’s hand, during one of our love shoots (or actually engagement shoot), but Cheryl wasn’t supposed to know this until the very last moment. She new we were going to do a loveshoot, but she never expected to get engaged on this very day.
Maarten and I had a brief phone call, right before the shoot, to talk things through. We decided to use the code word “romantic” whenever we saw the perfect place for this engagement. Maarten would take the engagement ring box out of Ramon’s camera bag. And we might have to improvise, but the moment would be so special that Cheryl’s wouldn’t expect anything anyway.
The result: everything went well and she definitely said yes! On the moor near ‘t Harde, in a lovely setting with great summer weather and a setting sun, with their dog Raf in the background and a stunning engagement ring. Congratulations Maarten and Cheryl!
Update: we will shoot their wedding as well! Can’t wait : )
