A wedding in Haarlem. I was actually really looking forward to it. And because Ramon and I are photographing separately more and more often, I decided that I would do the same-sex wedding of Nicole and Babette, who got married in Haarlem. Just to be sure, I got my little brother to drive me around so I could focus on this beautiful couple all day long. The preparations took place in the morning. Babette and Nicole were in the same house and therefore I could easily photograph both their preparations. Babette was still in make-up, while Nicole was already putting on her beautiful green wedding suit. The final finishing touch and ready for the day! The wedding ceremony took place in the town hall of Haarlem. In this ancient hall, the company sat ready for the ceremony. The two brides came forward and the ceremony could begin. Those little moments in between: wonderful! That emotion after the wedding! Here the two brides just walked out, just after they got married in Haarlem. We did the photo shoot near their final location Wapen van Kennemerland. This location is close to the beautiful Elswout (Orangerie Elswout) and so we made some great autumn images in the gardens. Pictures of bride and bride. In between I also made a number of single photos. The autumn sunshine created beautiful soft light and bright colors. After the photo shoot at Elswout estate, we drove by car in the direction of Het Wapen van Kennemerland. Here the guests could congratulate the two brides. Nicole and Babette had their first dance, a Bachata. Nice to see them together during this moment. After that, everyone could sit down at the table for dinner. I took a few more photos of the first courses of dinner. After that, the reportage was over for me. In any case, I really enjoyed being present at this special day. Especially because this Mrs and Mrs couple were so wonderfully hospitable and open and social. A great day!
