Two world travelers. These two people work very hard. They decided to get married in Amsterdam, because he is from the Netherlands. Marcel and Yen Yen are now married. Therefore we would like to show you a reportage of their atmospheric wedding day.
Royal wedding location The Grand
This year is “the year of Amsterdam” for us. We have already photographed a few weddings there this year, and there are more to come. And that’s not bad at all, because it’s such a beautiful city for a wedding. And did you know that Queen (now princess) Beatrix was also married here?
The guests also enjoyed a drink and a typically Dutch “bitterbal”.
Getting married in Amsterdam
In Amsterdam you have the canals, the centuries-old canal houses, you have the atmosphere of boats and accordion players and you have beautiful chic hotels. Marcel and Yen Yen decided to get married at The Grand and I don’t blame them.
The atmosphere of Holland
Their day was actually a nice summary of the Netherlands: international, with a beautiful wedding ceremony and afterwards a walk towards the canals. Because the bride and groom had arranged a canal boat with an accordion player who sang many old Dutch songs. “Instant atmosphere,” and that makes for great moments.
The day started with a beautiful photo shoot at the Amsterdam canals.
Then the wedding ceremony in one of the beautiful rooms of Hotel The Grand.
Followed by a cruise through the canals.
Dining in Amsterdam
After the cruise the group enjoyed a full evening dinner. So no party, but dining together, listening to speeches and telling each other why this is such a special day. A wonderful ending to an Amsterdam wedding. Do you also want to get married in Amsterdam? Then take a look at our page.
