Lauren and Robert met years ago. They both travelled the world and at some point in their lives they decided to settle in Amsterdam. And nothing could stop them from getting married in our capital city! They invited their friends, family and colleagues and had the best wedding ever at Industrieele Groote Club (right in the center of Amsterdam).
We don’t see that many American Weddings, but whenever we have the chance we enjoy the cultural differences, compared to typical Dutch weddings. Lauren and Robert had four bridesmaids and four groomsmen, they had a short but very emotional wedding ceremony and many many speeches during dinner.
What we really loved about this day is the expressiveness of Lauren, Robert and their family and friends. And I have rarely seen a groom cry this much, which is the biggest compliment one can give to a bride, I think. You can see in their eyes, their hugs and their smiles how much they love each other. And quite frankly: that is the greatest gift to receive: real love.
