The story behind the wedding photo: let’s be seated

Getting married at The Roode Koper

The Chinese and Dutch wedding of Warner and Iris was one of our first 2015-weddings. We did have 2 wedding before that, but this wedding was the actual start of a busy season. We loved this wedding, partly because of the location and weather, but also because we really loved the international character. Iris & Warner knew from the start they would get married at Het Roode Koper, and this day was The Day.

The story behind this wedding photo

We love this photo in particular. It is almost a group photo, but not a formal group photo like you see more often. This photo tells an entire story on it’s own. You see guests walking towards the ceremony site. And if you look closely, you can see someone in the building, near the window. Someone is looking if the guests are seated, so the bride can come down and walk towards the isle.

You can see both Iris’ and Warners family, you can see babies, people with beautiful dresses, people taking a last sip before the ceremony starts and in the background this great wedding venue. The photo is almost timeless, it could have been made in 1985, 2015 and 2025. Such a classic setting. What a great choice to get married here!
