Another blogpost in English, because this white themed wedding was quite international. A Dutch Bride, living in Qatar with her (now) husband who was born in Lebanon and lived in America for quite some years.
Rhederoord, a lovely location near De Steeg. We love to visit this place, because it is so light and romantic. We were thrilled to hear that Valerie and George wanted to get married here. The 28th of July was their weddingday.
We started, totally relaxed, around noon. Valerie needed a few hours to prepare herself so I joined her in her room. Ramon was with George who was ready in less than 15 minutes. The two of them saw eachother at “the alter”. We were used to the ‘normal inside weddings’ of Rhederoord, but this time they placed the chairs outside, what a stunning view! Mon Fleuri decorated the scene with her beautiful white flowers. Mark van Leeuwen, ceremonial speaker at Mooi Trouwen, spoke during the ceremony. We always love how he makes every ceremony special and interactive. Nearly all the guests were asked a question during the ceremony so it was really a once in a lifetime event.
During the afternoon there was a whiskey- and wine tasting. During this period of time Ramon, I and the weddingcouple had a small moment for the photoshoot. We decided to stay close to the main building, because the surroundings are so beautiful. After 45 minutes we rejoined the guests and dinner started soon afterwards.
In the evening Valerie and George had a Class A party. Vivian ter Huurne, their weddingplanner, made sure that there would be a great DJ, together with a live saxophonist. The DJ also started drumming during the Sax-solo’s which was so special! Everyone started dancing and continued to do so. Around midnight the happy couple and their quests ate a lovely weddingcake. We loved to see so much joy. After midnight Ramon and I packed up our things and drove to Elburg, happy with our footage and (I admit) a bit tired as well ; )
